What welding projects are you working on? Are you proud of something you built?
How about posting some pics so other welders can get some ideas?

About me... I'm pretty much a hack part time hobbyist weekend welder, but I love creating stuff so I keep at it.

A while back I was browsing the interweb looking for a mig welding cart. I didn't find anything that motivated me to make the plunge but I did see a weld cart/tool box from Northern Tools that got the creating juices flowing.

I started with an old Craftsman rolling tool cart, I built a frame around it with 2" x 1/8" angle iron, added a platform to hold the tank, then mounted a piece of scrap plate steel on hinges to create a fold down portable weld table.

It's not pretty but it's practical.

That's a fabulous idea. I see no hacks here, only rough diamonds.

Not pretty? To me, a well-designed and well-implemented mechanism is ALWAYS a thing of beauty.

I like it very much; well done indeed!

I give it the stamp of approval. Very practical indeed.

Clearly one design flaw - in it's collapsed position it can't accumulate 100lbs of useless clutter when not welding

I like it - looks good :D

Great idea, guess you suffer from the "lack of concrete" disease as many of us do. ;)

I would add another layer that you can fold up to protect the welder from sparks and grinding dust.
