What welding projects are you working on? Are you proud of something you built?
How about posting some pics so other welders can get some ideas?

So I consulted my metal pile.

And got 6 10' sticks, of 1/16' wall galvi pipe.

Cutting it down to 7'....

Here is a quick tip for you guys (or gals) that make small gates/panels.
Lay a 2x4 on your table, and drive nails in, to make your own stronghand table.
These two here are from prevous panels I've built, but you get the idea.

So,
I laid two 2x4's on my table, and laid the pipe on the wood.
Than I drove these small nails, 8" apart.

This panel is going to 42" by 72" and for the end pieces, they are 1/8 wall pipe.
Gotta be heavy duty.

Great fit on those tubes right???
I'm going to be using a 1/8 8010 rod for this, so its gonna be great!! :o  :x :?
So I thought I'd crush the tubes right???

But that didn't, so I'll just have to scrap the entire project.

Sorry for wasting your time....

I'll just crimp them enough so that its a decent fit...
And, the tubing is 1/6 wall, as you can see, its quite difficult to stick weld with a 1/8 8010.
Feel free to tell me how ugly it looks, and how poor of quality of work I do....

Go ahead... You know you want to.

So,
That was frustrating as it gets.

I thought sure I died and went to the wrong place, and was stuck welding burners and boilers....

So,
The panel is all welded up.
Its stuck, and not coming apart.

So,
Now I've got to attach it to the trailer...
Pics will explain the rest.

I'm not sure how many of you are familiar with artificial incimination, so I won't gruel you with the details.
Feel free to google it.
But this was the main reason we built this stall, as it makes it easy to do our work.

That's what I call working with what you have. Did you try heating the ends before smashing them? I wouldn't have smashed them so far, you only need to smash the ends until you can put a good weld on. Speaking of welds....well.... You need to buy my 252 and that will solve your problems.

Oh,
I only smashed them enough to get a good fit.
They were just fine for fit.

See,

OH the joys of AI  Nothing like being shoulder deep in a rump roast trying to thread a needle blindly. I hate the ones that kick. And it's always the heifers. ;)
It's always best to build your own, especially when it comes to hitches!!!
