Restoration job cast iron

So I recently acquired this beauty. I haven't had a chance to do a spark test yet but I'm fairly certain it's cast iron. There's a small crack I need to weld up but cast has always been my Achillese' heel. I'd love to hear any suggestions or comments, thanks.

Where is the crack/do you have a picture of the crack?

I'll take a pic of the crack and post it. Meant to do that in the first place.

Cheers

EB,

I sent you a PM. You have a relatively rare swivel base Paramo there. Weighs about 105# as she sits, and is most likely made well before 1950.
