Has anyone purchased the Certiflat U weld fixture table on eBay?
Wondering how it compares to the Stronghand Fixturepoint table.
What welding projects are you working on? Are you proud of something you built?
How about posting some pics so other welders can get some ideas?

Well, at the cost, I don't suppose too many folk have them sitting side-by-side to make that comparison...
Personally, I've always built my own jigs and fixtures as needed, case-by-case, as it's always something one-off and a flat surface is rarely enough.
Patience... I'm sure there'll be at least "some" input in this.

C'mon!
I thought all welders were wealthy!
My intention is to get just the table as I can machine all the fixture components.
I'm just wondering if all the stability of the Certiflat is greater than the Fixturepoint what with all the ribbing they designed in.
Can't seem to find a shot of the underside on the Fixturepoint.
I'll be here.

I finally had a few mins and checked them out, my only concern is the 3/16" thickness. It nice to clamp something down to backbow it or beat on if needed.
I weld stainless, stainless and more stainless...Food Industry, sanitary process piping, vessels, whatever is needed, I like to make stuff.

Agreed the 3/16 seems thin till one looks at the back bracing that appears to be 2". So the vertical height is really 2+" in stiffness without the mass. Clamping on bracing for back-bow should work, beating on something without mass to back up,(think anvil) is another thing.

I'm glad you're pleased with it, considering the lack of actual user input here. So, between you and Jody, that's two solid recommendations for it.
I wish my employer would invest in at least one actual fixturing table, but we do so little bench work that would benefit from it that its hard to justify.
I guess I'd be happy if they'd let me build my own table, so we'd have one that's actually flat... The boss thinks the top should have many fillet welds holding it on, and the table gets drawn well out of flat. A small number of small plug welds would do, leaving only tiny local distortions.

I received my Certiflat table in Nov 2015. It is a fab block with legs... fab blocks are 1/4 thick...sure they arent the thickest as the build pros are 5/8 thick. My table isnt meant to really beat on it but for light duty fixturing. sure it may not be perfectly flat....but will .001" really matter on most projects we build? hey buddy...your stuff you just built is .001 off to the right....i can see it....rofl
