What welding projects are you working on? Are you proud of something you built?
How about posting some pics so other welders can get some ideas?

Hey guys, I was thinking of some ideas for show projects, and so far I've made a wall mounted pull up bar, and a laundry cart/rack done. But I wanted to do a couple more things! Any ideas on some projects? Ive got about 2 months time to work, so any ideas are welcomed!

My first ever welding project was a hitch-mount luggage rack. When our SUV is full of people there's no room for luggage inside, and I wanted to avoid a rooftop rack. I welded up a rectangular frame using angle iron, welded that to some 2" OD square tube after I drilled the holes for the hitch pin. Added some uprights at each corner, then ran stainless cable around the perimeter to provide some containment. Originally thought of an expanded metal deck but I compromised and used plywood; that turned out to be a good idea by accident because I could drill holes to accommodate ropes and tie downs.

Possibly a useful idea for you? Look up the luggage racks at harbor freight to get an idea of what they look like. Mine is still in use, been down thousands of miles of road.

I think that a fold down welding table would be cool.
You could build it from an old bed frame rail. ;)

If you are the artistic type, you could make some gigantic metal dice.

I believe the challenge will come when trying to roll those dice....and.....I would love to see the table that they will get rolled on.
