These are for my sandrail and I am still getting used to my new to me welder. Had a snap on 220v body shop welder previously, built lots with it but wanted something bigger and more stable.
I removed the torsion bars and went with a nitrogen suspension shock ,rides much better and has more travel.
Then I found this site and learned a lot more about welding vertical down :o

Nice looking work.

Why vertical down? Looks like your fixturing will allow you to position the welds at a more friendly angle.
