What welding projects are you working on? Are you proud of something you built?
How about posting some pics so other welders can get some ideas?

Hi,

Hoping to get some advice on fixing this heavy gate. The bottom two hinges broke and the gate fell over, cracking some tiles! I’ve attached some photos of the gate and the two broken hinges. Is this a simple fix? Any tips?

Thanks in advance!

Cut them off, grind the metal clean both sides, weld them on. Sure, easy. But be prepared to repeat this repair every couple of years...

The design has flaws that contribute to the need for perpetual repairs. The picture is pretty limited in information such as, size of gate, installation, function, etc. If you want more detailed answers provide more details about the gate/install.

Here’s a place you might contact about proper hinges for your specific setup.
I have more questions than answers

After you repair it, tell them a little preventive maintenance ( Oil it regularly ) goes a long way to never having to re-weld it again.
