This is what we call a farmer fix (fix it but don’t spend any money).

Never met anyone who wasn't. IF the equipment is getting beaten up, they aren't making money.

I"m guessing voice to text swapped "is" for "isn't"... And if so, I somewhat disagree. I get what you're saying, but I tend to use equipment as intended and avoid unnecessary repairs. And I grew up on, and later lived on, a farm. I have used heavy equipment, though never as a full time job. Trying to think back, I don't recall ever breaking a single item in a fashion like I've seen in his repair videos. Breaking the bottom out of a bucket on an excavator by prying rocks? Smashing the blade on a bucket on a loader? That takes some pretty serious abuse.

If they didn’t bust up the equipment they wouldn’t need me to fix it.$$$$$$

I understand it's a home run for you. I'm just surprised how many catastrophic failures you deal with where clearly someone was abusing the equipment.

A lot of people think equipment is indestructible . They don’t realize how much power it has

I agree. Had a customer use his big front end loader and 1 fork to pry out some oak stumps. And seemed surprised when it bent. Lots of instances like that.

Nope, written as intended. Everyone is hard on heavy equipment, it’s just that some don’t “abuse it”. Heavy equipment is designed for heavy use but improperly maintained and operated equipment is the issue.

And when it’s busted, they aren’t making money. They take equipment out of rotation and can’t perform. But, ultimately it’s the Owners fault in not hiring, training or maintaining their gear with qualified operators. Or firing those who don’t know what they’re doing on it. Because to abuse it, is to put people at safety risk.
