Have you seen this article? http://www.weldingtipsandtricks.com/mig ... ip-19.html
I have seen these clamps at welder's supply places and even at Tractor Supply.
Here are some copper clamps online:

Harbor Freight has the very same ground clamp for 8 bucks. It is a 400 amp clamp made of brass. Use the wire tip that Jody shows and you will be good to go. No more bird crap welds for sure!

The Harbor Freight 400 amp brass ground clamp has now gone from 8 bucks to $17. And they say there is no INFLATION.
you got that clamp on sale for 8 bucks. it's 'on sale' every other week it's a good clamp, though. the spring is REALLY stiff, though. like... if you don't grip it right, you're not opening it far enough to put it on 1" sq tubing stiff.

I switched all my clamps from those crappy pressed steel ones to Radnor all copper clamps. It made a huge difference. The 300 amp ones were about $32 each at Airgas. Well worth it.
