I would like to know the formula for calculating the wire feed speed for flux cored mig and could anyone tell me why it is different from wire shielded with gas

Welcome to the forum. There very well may be a few "formulas" floating around but I usually just try to start off with The MFG suggestions.

Why do you need to know the wire feed speed??
