9606-2 Aluminum Test

Hi - I 've both passed and failed the 9606-2 Aluminum Mig test through the Mercedes
body shop certification program. Does anyone have any comment on welding 3 mm die cast
to die cast coupons with a Fronius machine? I can get good looking weld beads that
fail before the 3192 pound threshold is reached. I can't find anyone that can isolate
variables that maximize weld bead strength. The weld bead should pull out of the coupon
before the bead breaks. Any help would be greatly appreciated - Thanks!

Welcome to the site. I moved you question over to the Mig forum where you'll get more views.

WOW!

There's a great deal of experience with Fronius here.

I'm not impressed with Mercedes, after driving competing technology. Nice cupholders.
