mig and flux core tips and techniques, equipment, filler metal
I distinctly remember over the past few years seeing regular (yearly?) sales at my LWS, for example a Lincoln 210 MP listed for $1400, would be about $1,000. I was not in the market then, but am now interested in buying a 210 MP. Does anyone know when are these sales? 4th of July? Labor Day? I realize Covid has upended the whole calendar but am overall curious how to plan. Not in any hurry and can easily wait up to a year. Many thanks to all.

Have you thought to ask your LWS where they sell Lincoln?
Seems they had a sale around Xmas and into the New Year, not this past holiday season but the 2018/2019 season, on the SW 200.

Yes i asked two LWS, they did not know when, although they mentioned they ran these sales and rebates in the past.TraditionalToolworks wrote:Have you thought to ask your LWS where they sell Lincoln?

I don't have a good answer for you as Lincoln doesn't seem to run them regularly, but I'm surprised they haven't run something during this crisis, seems that many companies are looking for sales.koenbro wrote:Yes i asked two LWS, they did not know when, although they mentioned they ran these sales and rebates in the past.
There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for when they run them.

I wonder if the reason is they suspect it might get harder to get parts and/or even have people to manufacture them, leaving the machines that do exist to be placed at a premium?JustSteve wrote:My LWS told me they stopped all rebates when Covid-19 hit. So did Miller.
Probably would make sense for anyone in manufacturing, this crisis can't be helpful for them to manufacture product.
