What would you set your parameters at if you had to weld some 1/4 steel in the vertical position using some lincoln 0.35 self shielded flux core wire?
Ah, you didn't mention you were going vertical. Drop my suggestions by 30-50% for WFS (and a corresponding reduction in voltage). Actually it was my bad, I missed the 3G part! LOL. sorry about that. I recall about 300-350ipm/22-23V, but that was with about 5/8 CTWD. If you decrease the CTWD amperage goes up so you have to reduced WFS/V; equivalently if you increase CTWD amperage goes down so you have to then increase WFS/V.
