Anyone have any advice of opinions on what makes a good wire feeder for a portable welder? Thinking of welding up a skid for my Bobcat 250 and adding a wire feeder.
Oscar, does HTP have any? [emoji6]

Can’t go wrong with a Miller 12vs or a Lincoln LN25
I’ve used both. Both good machines.

HTP sure does have a feeder. In fact, they have the best feeder you can possibly get to run off a welder/generator:

If only! lol....did the pic even load correctly? It's a huge pic but I'm wondering if the forum re-sizes for other people when it loads for them....

I ended up resizing it, because I don't know if it loads right or not, lol. Sorry 'bout that.

This isn’t a suitcase wire feeder. This is a stand alone wire welder.
Probably why I’ve never seen or heard or one.
A suite case wire feeder is powered across the arc and this HTP unit is not that.

But it is an HTP, so in Oscar’s world, the best option available! [emoji6]

And this is “the best” suitcase wire feeder to run off a portable engine drive welder?
Hardly.

Just so you know. After doing some research, HTP doesn’t make a legit suitcase wire feeder for use with your bobcat 250.
Look at one of the units I listed in my first post if you want a proper suitcase feeder for your engine drive.

Will do, thanks.
I’m guessing I’m stuck with a voltage sensing unit? Since my bobcat doesn’t have a plug that remote control units apparently need.
I don’t need a big 12” roll tho. 10lb roll would be plenty for what I’d do with it.
