Using 1/8" wall L, wondering what's best for how to cut for 90° joints prior to spool-gunning the seams?
(Thread I opened here Saturday gives details of what I have to accomplish this.)

Be better to cut back wall ends to flat surfaces then run a bead in between (left side in image) or try to deal with 90° outside corner & thin sections from mitered ends (right side)?

Your left image, inside corner to inside corner, is an excellent way to approach this.

I grind the knife edge flat on steel too.

The weld is much easier to make uniform that way.

When making any outside corner, I use inside corner to inside corner, or a little overlap.
This saves from having to bevel after the fact.
