Hi Folks,
I recently got some great advice in this forum and switched to .023 MIG wire and my inexpensive Eastwood welding machine has never worked better, and it's several years old.
So, I am considering doing some stainless work, but I don't want to invest in another gas bottle dedicated to a stainless gas mix.
The logical move, I thought, was to go with stainless flux core. I headed over to Amazon, but no luck. I checked all of the usual welding supply sites, but nothing. Does .023 Stainless flux Core exist?
Thanks.

I've never seen it. I doubt it's commercially available.

the other issue is if you don't have gas, what do you use for shielding the back side?

I don’t remember where I got it. But I threw out the last pound off the roll because it was so hard to get it to feed good in my 210mp. The only thing I didn’t try was using a Teflon liner. I bumped up to the over .030 but even that It’s kind of a pain for what I do. Once the last half of that role is gone I’m just gonna switch back to straight wire and use gas all the time.
