My friend gave me 2, 26# rolls of Silicon Bronze mig wire today. I have no idea what to do with it. I have tigged with it but have never mig. What is it good for? I know it's quite expensive but I don't think I have any use for it.Any suggestions?

On some automotive brands , newer models, that's the only approved "welding" method for body repairs.
They use hardened high strength sheet metal that loose its properties if fusion welded.

also used when fabing up gal sheet metal. The low temp doesn't burn the gal off. (not fully welded though, just little spots) and or "welding" hard tool points on to farm equipment.

I'm curious about the whole process, what kind of shielding gas works best?
