Pretty impressive items there.

Presumably you used a positioner rotator for the pipe work?

What is the actual diameter, and I wonder would you share your machine settings?

Thanks

Trevor

Trevor, there was no positioner/rotator used on the pipe. The pipe IIRC was 6" or 8" dia with a wall thickness of 3/16" or 1/4". It's all done manually and welded with a millermatic 252. Wire .035, 19.9v, 310ipm wire speed and c25 gas.

Here is some shots of my root and cover passes on 14' dia casing 3/4" wall welded with 212 innershield welded in 2g.

Trevor, here is a 120' string of cans (5 cans) 12' dia 1" wall that we welded in 5g on the ground and they used a 650 ton hydro and a 275 ton crawler to pick it off the ground and stand it vertical before putting it in the hole.

This job was welded with nr-233 wire.

Thank you. I'm no where I would like to be but for only three years in I'm happy. It's been hard work but it's paying off. I've got bunches of photos of projects I've done or helped with if you guys would like to see them. Everything from cars to industraial stuff.

I'm currently working on some super structure used for pump jacks. This next set we build (this week) I'll shoot some photos of my vertical up and Chinese vertical with .045" (and possibly 1/16") dual shield. I rock .045" but I'm still working on that 1/16".

Haven't done much mig welding in about a year.

Warming up on some 3/8" by 2" flat bar.

Flat and vertical.

Vertical up, not mine but one of my students, he is getting very close. This kid is steady as a rock. Not sure what his arc control/inductance was set at but a little more would have helped smooth it out a bit.

AK, does that new ESAB still have the buttery smooth arc that the old migmaster 250's had? Used to have an old Ltec 250. Arc was so soft I thought there was something wrong with the machine the first few times I used it. That was coming from a lincoln 175+
