Anyone have experience welding with this wire? I'm having trouble getting it to come out good when capping pipe. Any machine settings or techniques?

Sorry but have to start with the obvious questions....

Is it new, right out of the foil or been laying around for awhile?
You are running dual shield correct? 100% Co2?
Define "trouble" capping pipe, plug fillet? fitting v? orange peel cap? in or out of position? if out what position? positioner?

Use the Miller welding calculator to get close and adjust as needed.

New rolls or used ones from the hotbox. 75%/25% ar/co2....bead/hotpass with tig, fill/cap with Flux core using this wire. No matter how I set the machine or technique used it just doesn't lay down slick. Very lumpy in the middle of the bead and tends to undercut on the sides. Machine is a miller 444 CC with a Lincoln feeder box.
