I am just getting started, learning on my own, and have a Handler 140. My plan is to use gas; not flux-core. Don't want the spatter issues, and have used a small MIG before.

My questions are:

The FIRST project would probably be a small welding table, and if anyone has pictures of such, I'd appreciate it. I suspect maybe an 18"x36" table top (1/4" or 5/16" thick) is what I'm looking at, with maybe 3/16" 2x2 angle iron frame and legs? I intend to put casters on it, to allow it to be moved and stored against a wall in the garage. I have a small, lightweight mig cart already, so I don't have that as a first project.

Any tips/help/photo's would sure be appreciated.

thanks

Check this out. You can make adjustments where you need to, but this should get you going in the right direction. ;)

Post some pics when you are finished with your project.

Thanks.

Probably gonna start out small, like the portable welding table plan (I printed it out). We'll see how it goes.
