Tony and I have had a stressful week so far. Thankfully not between us though. We are working on a large weldment together and are able to be in the corner with welding curtains around us to try and shelter everyone else out. We have been picking on each other a lot today, mainly that my welds are far superior to his and one of us came up with the idea to have some fun and see which weld the forum thinks is the better looking weld. We need the comic relief.
So let the fun begin. Which weld looks better, A or B?

Monte,
I'll trade them both for what's behind door number three...
Hit 'em both with a wire wheel to lose the silicon.

Tony and I fluffed a quarter to see who got to do the root and cover on these vertical up pulse 3/8" fillets. I "lost" and got the covers. There are only two passes, a straight up root and a single weave cover. We both were around 125-150 amps running .045 wire. So, in the spirit of having good fun I told him I was going to post a few pics.

- And this is why we don't let Tony do our vertical ups. ;-)

I can't find any fault in the first two picks.
The third pic, however, suggests someone dropped out of "prep school"...

Just a couple welders and a couple of big hammers and torches.

I guess that would depend on your interpretation of dual. If we are talking two simultaneous duels then I would say yes. If, on the off chance you meant a dual pistol Duel, then I would say no, still 2, but 4 pistols.

Come on guys, everyone knows that two dual dual duels is two sets of dueling duelers. Unless of course you are in a duel with dual duels that have dual duels with dual guns for each dueler that is dueling. Than it is 4 duelers with 8 dual guns for each duel that is dueling. I think I got lost there. Now what if each dueler has dual barrel guns?

Enough...
"Duel" shield sounds like a fight.
Dual-shield suggest flux and gas.
Spelling will spank you like your Grammar when she's angry.

I've never done that before... I let a post stand as written, as I'm not the grammar nazi nor the punctuation police, but I could NOT resist under the circumstances.

Here is my trailer. I have owned it for near on 15 years now. I left it to rot at my folks place for about 7 years and the front of the draw bars was sitting in the grass. But now that I have space I decided it would be my first project as I am brand new to welding. I just bought my T&R 250K and Makita LC1230 and I was ready to go. It was first converted to a flatbed for my bike and this past weekend I added sides so I have something to throw all the rubbish from my crappy garage that I am demolishing to build my man cave/workshop. I am no metal worker, but I love working with my hands. I actually work in a bank, IT actually.
What do you guys think? Any comments on things I could have done better.
