I don't know if this is a really good deal, but it seems like it. I have been looking at a possible purchase of this model welder and the lowest I have found I think was around $890. This is sale priced at Blain's Farm and Fleet for $794.

Just say'n. Here is link == http://www.farmandfleet.com/products/67 ... VJ2cNB0MHk

Looks like a good price. One thing I notice is the adjusting knobs have "stops" or incremental jumps, rather than infinite adjusting. Have you used a machine like that, and did you like it? You may not have a preference.

Hi Artie. From what I read about it, the amp or heat selecter is a clicker but the wire feed is an infinity adjustment.

The cheepee Campbell Hausfeld I have now is just like that. I used a Solar 175 back in the late 80's that had fully adjustable settings and it was real good for fine tuning automobile sheetmetal. In the late 90's I was using a small miller that the boss bought and I never did like that machine. I don't remember the model.

I took my welding test for auto repair on a Lincoln 180, I think it was. Small machine, but it welded great and we broke the metal, welds never did come apart.

That Hobart 210 MVP is the machine Jody did a video about and he liked the machine. They say it will weld 1/4".

Since I posted that, I found out the same place had that welder on sale for $754 back in November.

I know Jody said Northern was offering a 'Welders Tips' discount but that was some time ago and Northern is $899 now.

I'm going to wait through January and just watch the prices. I definitely need it by March 1.
