I found this website about 3 years ago of a fabricator showing his method to MIG like TIG. The person who managed the website for some reason stopped updating it. With that said, being the website is still online, he goes into detail on the method he uses to do so.

I haven't used the push-pull technique, but I will tomorrow. (I weave.)
The rest of this discussion about controlling the weld is orthodox, good instruction.
I particularly like Flynne's emphasis on watching the puddle: when I was learning, I took big improvement steps when I learned to relax and watch the puddle. I could even listen better, then, and that helped too.
People new to welding will benefit from reading this link provided in this thread.
Thanks.

Golly, I can't do this "stack of dimes" caper. I am not going to show you, you'll have to trust me: my flux core efforts at the push / pull "dimes" are just bad welding.
I wonder how long it takes in practice hours? Actually, I don't care. My usual weave welds are OK.
I think I would rather put the time into my TIG welding, which I hardly ever (read "never" in a real job) use.

I saw your You Tube video about this, so I thought I would throw this up and tell you my trick is almost moving in a triangle. I've used your info so much I thought maybe if you're still trying to perfect it the least I could do is maybe give a little back.

highpowered,
First welcome to the forum! That is very nice and consistent. Would you share your specs, wire, volts, gas, etc?
