Hey every one I am new to the forum
I was given an older mig welder it does gas/flux the brand is telwin

The problem that is wrong is when I turn on the welder it automatically starts feeding wire
Has anybody ever had this happen to them if so please let me know

There are a few possibilities. Does the gas come on, too, or have you tried it with gas?

First thing to try is disconnecting the trigger. Where the whip exits the machine there shoud be a two-pin connector for the trigger wires. Unhook them. If this stops the wire-feeder, then the problem is either in the switch (fixable), the connector (fixable), or inside the whip (not so fixable... easier to get a new whip).

If disconnecting the trigger does not stop the wire feed, the problem's in the machine. Possibly a short, or more likely the relay for the wire feed is bad. Could be the main circuit board, as well.

Let me know what you find... If it's not the trigger, I'll have to dig a little deeper on the particular machine.

Hi man I figured out it is in the machine the wires from the trigger come in to a white square device and then to the variable switch circuit board then to the feeder motor

The white square does spear to have some sort of relay

Let me know if pics word be more helpful

Did not try it with gas

Hey everybody figured out what was wrong it was the relay for the wire feeder
The to metal contact points were rusted and were always making contact sanded them down and now the feeder only feeds when trigger is pushed
Now just have to figure out how to replace the steel liner to a Teflon liner.

Glad to hear you have it sorted - on the liner issue unless you are doing ally why do you need the teflon liner ?
Cheap way out I found is modern motorcycle throttle cable is teflon lined - I go to my local motorcycle guy & he sells the inner / outer cable seperate by the meter quite cheaply - as long as you have the old one there is usually only a fitting on one end & this is crimped on very lightly - with a little "coaxing" it will come off & can be re-used.
Hope this helps & good luck with the new welder.
