This was a few months back, around March I think.

....and just like that, BAM!
An HTP ProPulse 220 MTS !
The slider control for my ProPulse 300 works with this machine too, so its pretty awesome. Full manual control on-the-fly of synergic settings. Hot start, down slope, hotter weld, colder weld, during short-circuit, std pulse, double-pulse, all eazy-peazy! Freakin sweet.
More firepower! Arg! Arg!

Oscar,
I think your collection of welders is amazing. However you state that you are a hobbyist welder in your profile. My question is are you a salesman or showroom for USA Weld or HTP?
With all due respect your level of personal gear for welding far eclipses the norm for a hobby. Please do not take this as an insult. Also, do you have any projects posted in the Project section of the forum?

Learning is the best part of life and the most painful
Kirk,
I can certainly see why you might think so, but nope. I do not work for HTP in any way shape or form. My projects are few and far between due to my day job. Right now I'm just waiting to go into a meeting, so I get to check out forum posts here-and-there. I'm a school coordinator at a public charter school in Texas, and I paid for every one of those machines with my hard earned money. So to answer your question, no I'm not a salesman for HTP, nor am I a showroom for them either. Just like some people have "all Miller" machines, or "all Lincoln" machines, I simply have "all HTP". My gear does eclipse the norm for a hobby, but this hobbyist makes very good money, so I'm not limited by the limitations of other hobbyists. Case in point, right now, I'm listening to music on my ~$4,000 stereo system. In my office at my work. It's my cheap stereo. I have my expensive stereo system at home.

So now that you've seen some of my rather meticulous (IMO) projects from before, I suppose that changes your view as to how broad the term "hobbyist" really means, eh?Radishfever wrote:I hope the other forum members take note of Oscar’s reply.
