Hello I tig weld aluminum from time to time at work. I use pure argon on ac but I have welded on dc using helium. I would like to try using argon with all small amount of helium.

My question is how to set it up using two flow meters into one line. Can I use by tee or does it need to be at y fitting?

Do I need to add check valves to each line?

Thanks
Chad

Any of those variations will work. Best case scenario is you use a mixing regulator set up designed for this application. But as long as your regulators run at the same pressure than you can get by with something as simple as a tee. While back someone posted a link to an example of a mixer off of eBay.
