Scratch start tig, arc force

I hooked up a tig rig to my welding machine in the stick mode and running off of straight polarity. Does the arc force function still work when doing tig or will the settings be reversed like 0 = more arc force and 100 = less arc force?

Everlast recommends turning the arc force off when TIG welding, not sure about other manufacturers though

It won't hurt anything setting it at 100 or zero....

Arc force increases the amps as the arc length decreases. I would think it would make it harder to get a consistent TIG arc with the arc force on. I would turn it off.
