Sorry people, first post and I'm new to TIG.

I'm attempting to weld new 3/32" 316 to new 3/32" wall 316 tube with new ER316L filler.
Machine is Riland/Mitech ...200P.
The first issue (one at a time) is that the bead color is grey even if I just run it on the flat.
Settings are DCEN, pulse (frequency has little effect), #5 & #8 cup, 8-25CFH argon, ceriated and zirconiated, pre and long post gas.
I see the vids on this site that show shiny welds, I must be doing something wrong.
cheers

here is a pic.
I think that a 1/16" ER316LSI rod would help, I've ordered some.
Would a 1/16" electrode be better also?
Settings as previous post

this seems to happen to me when i get to the end of my sheilding gas mostly like the last 200 psi supposedly contaminents start flowing around? but it has also happend with new bottles, i hear a gas lense is best for staineless because it has unrestricted flow unlike a collet exc so try these!! good luck
