Hard to tell, but is that the hose that is also the power lead, or is it just the water return hose with a copper crimp that I'm seeing?

Rick,
Last winter I cooked a hose on a fairly new torch and what I found was my return line to the water cooler had froze and it boiled the water in the torch but never made it to the water cooler. If your shop is not heated that might be something to look at.

Now go melt something.

Rick,
Can you see if you have flow? Maybe a restriction in the return system? Other than that, not a clue.

I'll have to check tomorrow I was knee deep in a big sanitary pipe job and didn't have time to mess with it this evening.

Rick_H,

The deformation at the "burst" looks like melt, rather than simple "blowout". Note the swollen lip of the poly at the opening. This suggests severe local heating.

You must have a flow restriction of some sort, or, somehow (and this makes NO sense), a short path for the HF at this point.

I had time to check tonight, getting great flow through the torch and cable, so if I do have a blockage it is inside the unit.
