Does anyone have any plans or pictures of carts I could build for my new Invertig 221 ?
I am also open to buying a affordable cart, I have a Turbo hotside for my 67' Chevelle that I should really be investing my freetime in welding!

A cart is always a good project to start learning a new welder. Do your homework and plan what you want to have on your cart, then you can start thinking of the design. The more time you spend planning the less time you will spend rebuilding it later, guess how I know that
Welder, gas tank, cable hangers, consumables, helmet, rod storage, clamps, tig finger, notebook and charts. You can make the list as long as you likfe, you set the standard for what good looks like when making something for your self.
Heres some pictures of my cart http://forum.weldingtipsandtricks.com/v ... f=9&t=5677
There are a lot of pictures of others in the forum as well

Taz,
That Kemppi is absolute junk. Better send it to me.
-Jonathan
P.S. don't forget to sent the remote too.

Better send it too, wouldn't want to clutter up the dump.taz wrote:Sure, do you also want the foot pedal or should I just throw it away

motox,
I really like that design with the TIG rod on the side. Might need to adopt that one.

Sure thing, since you won't be needing that Fronius junk then I would be happy to dispose it for you.Superiorwelding wrote:Better send it too, wouldn't want to clutter up the dump.taz wrote:Sure, do you also want the foot pedal or should I just throw it away

Here's another cart if you're looking for ideas. I borrowed heavily from Jody's design and also used a lot of my own ideas, largely dictated by the materials I had available.
Hope this helps.
Cheers.

I have a pile of 1"x1"x1/8" alum square tube laying on the floor, maybe it would be a good foundation for a cart project. I have not built a welding cart in a long while.
Thanks for the pic Eldon, I have always liked the dual cylinder carts. I should post up pics of the carts we made at the shop for our DC600's. I am sure there is a idea or two that might help others.
