First off running 3/32, 308-L, at 155. I make a really nice bead in 2Gand 4G, and can do I good 3G with 100S also, but SS kicked my butt tonight, it was like the bead kept falling on itself, no undercut so I guess that's a plus, but I tried turning the heat down, going slower, going faster, so I'm a bit confused. Any suggestions?

In 3G TIG, I always try to have my tungten pointing 30-45* up, regardless of my "push" angle, so the arc-force helps support the puddle. Gravity will always try to make the puddle sag.

Thanks for info, kinda figured it out tho, we are using some cold rolled steel plates for practice, and it became really scaley, and dirty after quenching it in the tank a few times, and all the scale would get in the puddle and mess me up, adter hitting the plates with a grinder things went a lot smoother
