WOW! I have been using carb and brake cleaner to clean metal for a long time. I am very lucky to have not had the same incident. Thanks a million for posting.

My father in law spent his entire life in the engine rooms of large merchant marine vessels, retiring as a Chief Engineer (on a banana boat, no lies). He now suffers from advanced Parkinson's desease and the medical folks are starting to draw conclusions from him & others that the long term exposure to chemicals and fumes (welding included) were contributing factors to this ailment and cancer too.

Both my Mom and my Dad suffered from Parkinsons as well as glaucoma. Mom had Alzheimer's too.
they owned a print shop and worked with ink, chemicals, developers, etc.

there is little doubt that working around chemicals and fumes is bad for you.

be careful...wear a respirator even if you have to buy it...dont wash your hands in acetone or mek

someone needs you to come home from work everyday.

thanks,

jody
