AC with pulse

Hey guy I did a little side job for a guy that drag races Honda cars.
1st was a cracked cast aluminum oil pan
2nd was a cast aluminum valve cover he wanted modified
3rd was a cracked cast aluminum housing that holds the water pump?????
last was a cracked header pipe.
Long story short I tried turning the pulse on in AC mode on my new PT200DX
Damn if it didn't weld better. Nice flat shiny beads with a lot less smut. (around 50pps)
The header? Looked like someone tried to repair it once or twice with a 110v flux machine.
1st. we steam cleaned it inside and out. Then ground all the snots off it. Next wire wheeled all
the slag out of the cracks. Then I took my time and sealed it back up with some E309. Found a
paper thin section about the size of a half dollar so I cut a patch out of some 304 I had and
covered the weak spot. We checked the parts for leaks and I pocked a fast 200 bones for a
couple hours work!
