Currently own a Sync250DX that cant adjust AC frequency and I always wondering "Does hi AC frequency make a big difference" in tig weld inside corner joint aluminum?
Would you guys share your tipsandtricks to tig weld inside corner joint alum?? The problem I'm facing is arc wander/dancing from side to side of the material. Will hi AC frequency makes this easier since I read hi AC freq makes a strong/focus arc.

Thank you all.
Steve.

yes running a higher ac freq will help focus the arc into the root of the joint. Also not sure if you are already using one but using a 2 percent thoriated or 2 percent thanated tungsten will help, because they don't not ball up as much as a pure tungsten. On the the dynasty 350's at my work I using run the freq at 200 when doing t joints.

another thing that can help you with t joints, is to keep the balance high. Like on the dynasty's at my work I will run 70 to 80 on the balance, not sure how the balance adjustment is for the the sync. Keeping a higher balance when keep your tungsten pointed and will also give you a steadier arc.
