Wondering if you guys could share tips for welding stainless steel tubing. I'm having issues with the tubing bending out of shape because of the heat. My dilemma is that if it's not hot enough we can't get penetration but with too much heat we start getting warpage. Trying to find the right balance is a tricky undertaking. Wondering if there something else I could do to control heart or warpage.

Hi there.
Try using pulse if it is availible. This will lower your over all heat input.

Using the pulse option or manual pulsing with the foot pedal is a good way to accomlish that. Also if the tubing is consistently warping the same way, you pre warp the tubing so that when the weld is done the tubing comes out straight. The old timer at my work taught me that. Just do some fusion welds on the tube so that they can to be cleaned up easy, get the tube to warp the way you would like it to then weld it up. Trick came in handy from some big stainless table we made at our work.
