Welding Tips and Tricks

I have two individual flowmeter regulators. I need to set up a purge system for my stainless steel project (bad sugaring) using my TIG Argon setup.
Dual flowmeters are $200+!!! Can I just plumb my two together (correctly) and make my own setup? If so what do I need to be careful of (brass-only fittings, no thread joint compound, etc?).

Tee'ing off the main stub (removed from one flow/reg unit to use as the "master") coming out of the tank and double branching off to two sepaarate flow/reg units seems a no brainer. My main concern is the type of fittings that need to be used. Should I assume brass would be best? Also, should any thread seal be used? If so what (teflon tape, putty, etc.)?

Has any one of you out there ever redone your regulator plumbing (i.e. replaced nipples or tightened leaking joints) without incident?

I would appreciate any input.

Brass yes and thread seal is not neccessary. I've run 2 flowmeters off one regulator.

Thanks for your reply. Then I will proceed with plumbing my two flow meters off the one regulator using brass fittings.

Gas from the purging flowmeter only needs to be about 20% of your torch gas.
