aluminum 5 cup

as jody is now selling the short 5 cup for aluminium setups, i was wondering what would actually be the best between standard 5 cup, stubby gas lens, jumbo gas lens and standard gas lens. (brand CK, i'm sure other brands will have similar versions but i don't know what they are called).
is there much reduction in gas flow with cup that small?
does the decrease in gas flow change weld penetration?
whats the difference in cooling of the tungsten, ie does it effect post flow requirements?

also what is the effect of fitting a bigger tungsten in small cups, ie use a 1/8" in a 5 cup ?

If I recall I believe Jody covered most of this in that video, still interesting questions. Whether some of the difference are measurable or just perceived, or somewhere in between, probably best to do your own tests and see what works or you. JMO

i actually missed one, i didn't realise CK make a stubby gas saver.

i might do some testing soon. its just not easy getting them, local stuff is limited and expensive.

i think jody just did stubby normal 5 cup compared to stubby gas lens.
but no comparison to the others or gas flow compared to gas lens, or any cool down time.

tungsten cooling is something i have not seen much written about. its important for saving gas when you do a lot of tiny runs.
especially here where gas is not cheap and i can only get small bottles.
