Defuzzing deerskin gloves?

I bought a few pairs of deerskin Tillman gloves a while back and just got around to using a pair. I've got a job where I'm working welding 18gauge CRS sheet and the fuzz is coming off on the sharp edges while I position pieces to weld. I'm sure that fuzz will contaminate the weld cosmetically which this job can't tolerate.

Does anyone have a way to de-fuzz the gloves? Otherwise I'll go back to the smooth goatskin versions.

thanks.

I dunno....I was thinking 36 grit on the belt sander....

Seriously though, I have no clue aside from wearing them for non critical stuff until they wear down but that is defeating the purpose of having them.

Wrap some Duct Tape outside-in on your opposite hand. Rub the glove across the tape. Peels the fuzz right off.
