Hey all,
I was wondering if 4943 would be a decent filler for 5052. I have used only 5356 filler for 5052, so i wanted to get your opinions as 4943 is new to me.
Thanks!

I use it exclusively except when I have to use 5356. The nice thing about 4943 is that it will anodize if you need that. 4043 does not take anodizing well.

That's good to hear. It's going on an alumaweld boat, small hole/crack. Do you think that 4943 is a better filler for a marine application?

Personally in that situation, I’d use 5356. I’ve done a number of Jon Boat repairs and use 5356 in my spoolgun or my TIG. 4943 will work fine, but if you have to... 5356 is “better”.

Thanks for the info. I will stick with 5356. I am going to try out some 4943 though on some coupons to see how it looks and runs.
