O.k. so I made a purchase from wirecare for a cable cover. I am happy with how it fits. It seems like it will last awhile. Only time will tell.

Don't know why that first picture is upside down?

I did buy some heat shrink mesh to terminate the ends also. But I bought to small a size and it will not fit over the torch and switch like the webbing did. I just used electrical tape till I place another order.

The cover certainly looks nice, hard to tell from the pics but it seems to be tight around the cables. My first thought was if the power cable is overheated then it may be more likely to damage one of the other cables.

Did you install this from the torch end? Slip it over like a sock?

Also please provide the part number for what you bought, the photo of the label doesn't show that.

Thanks
Richard

It is a nice fit. not tight, not sloppy either. The material should be able to breath since it is an expandable mesh. I would imagine cables inside a leather cover would hold way more heat than this material.

Yes, I slide it over the torch end...even went right over the torch switch.

Here is the part number and description:
SDN0.75BK SuperDuty 3/4" Nylon 6/6 Black, 25 ft cuts $30.00

Thanks and good point about the leather cover.

I have been looking on their website, a lot of options to choose from, the carbon fiber sleeve would be cool. Part # CAL0.50BK

The torch my thermal arc 186 came with has leather on the last 3 ft or so it's nice and flexable.
I have more questions than answers
