Pyrex Can Melt !!!

I just got a CK swivel torch and a gas saver lens kit with a Pyrex cup. I was trying this all out and was walking the cup and low and behold the Pyrex cup melted........oh well live and learn......$15 or so for a new one !!!

I hadn't expected that. That's the same quartz glass those 500W halogen pencil bulbs are made from.

Oh, well. Note to self: Pyrex cups = freehand only.
