Hello I just picked up a pc300 pulser and im ttrying to tig some 1/8 aluminum
I have a question on the setting on the High Frequency setting at the bottom front of my '93 351 , I read as low as can be without interfering with other electronics, well I have nothing else in the shop running at this time,
so can someone explain what the high frequency really does, and does it help having it higher on a older miller 351?
thanks!

Maybe this will explain it:

It just helps stabilize the arc and also jump the air gap. Probably best lower but turn it up and see what happens as long as you have no equipment to worry about interference. I am pretty sure if you turn it up it will jump that gap at a longer distance which you really don't need it to. Turning it up allows the jump to penetrate flux for SAW (submerged arc welding).

I dont know how I missed that , thanks!
ok I just gave it a try, it does send a longer arc, I dont see the need to have it up high though at least on the bench,It just helps stabilize the arc and also jump the air gap. thanks again!
