Hello all!

I need a small advice about making an extra cable with a starting switch for the TIG welding torch. What I want to do is fixing the welding torch and being able to start the process without touching the torch button. To do that, i need to build a new cable with a start switch (basically the same button on the torch) to connect the torch cable on the on side and the welding machine on the other side. In other words I want to bypass the welding torch button and build my own and press it from a distance. The welding machine is Castolin CastoTIG 1611DC and the cable connection is with 5 pins. I am attaching the torch connector's picture. Also url of the machine for the front panel. I hope someone could help me out, I am really not familiar with the electronics and cables..

Thanks!!
Alp

Without measuring the plug I couldn't tell you if these will fit but this style of connector is called an aviation plug.

Your pin outs for on/off are bridging 1 and 2 with a momentary on switch. You can test this by briefly putting a U shaped copper wire in those pin holes.
