20+ yr old Syncrowave 250 some times likes the touch the tungsten first.
seems the tungsten gets contaminated depends on material and or its coating giving off fumes or the underside fuming.
can't always duplicate when trying, I just blame it my torch technique

It would be interesting if some sort of Miller representative was prepared to comment. Possibly a question better posed on the Miller forum I guess.

I would also like to have the tech who reset the "gap" on a dynasty to come on here and tell us where that is as well and what "coil" did he rewind ????
