I got a Varior OHASAA-1K foot pedal from a friend but it has a C810-1425(14 pin) plug on it. My machine (everlast 160sth) has a C840-725(7 pin) socket. I found a place where I can order the 7 pin plug, the question is can I just swap the plugs and use this pedal on my machine?

Thanks

FitNPipe,
I beleive that there's two different types of pedals for Everlast welders, one has a 22-25K and the other 47-50K pontentiometer (?) in them. You need to know if the pedal you have matches the welder regardless what plugs on it. I think most welders only use 5 wires for a foot pedal but use different pots.

Ah gotcha, thanks for the reply the potentiometer is 1k in the pedal I have. So its safe to assume it wont work.

FitNPipe,
They shouldn't be that hard to change, and they're fairly cheap to buy if you have the inclination to change it.
