I work as a fitter/engineer in industry and have been welding many many years.
Started on oxy/acetylene, moved onto stick then mig when that was new.
My current employer only has a big mig set and gets outside contractors in to do any fine work with a tig.
I've been pestering them to buy a company tig, but to no avail.
So I bought my own, as I do welding jobs privately and already have a mig set but want to do finer, detailed stuff.
I have an R-Tech ac/dc 201 and have been practicing on my own.
Here's a few examples of how it's going
Stainless box section 2mm
304 stainless 3mm, made myself a tray to keep my torches and stuff in.
What do folk think of progress ??
Any tips and suggestions ??
Cheers
Tom

Tray looks great. Just remember, get a puddle then move torch to the leading edge, add filler and repeat!
