First time welding 2" 304 Stainless Tubing - butt weld
1/16" 2% T-Tungsten 35 Amp - Argon
The bead looks pretty good (newbie) but is it normal for the inside of the tubing along the weld to be so ugly ?? What am I missing?

If the stainless steel job is difficult to purge, I have used a black powdered flex (forget the name and I am not at the shop - your welding supplier can tell you) that you mix with Heet (or alcohol) to form a paste. Put it on the inside of the joints just before setup. Has worked well for me on custom stainless steel, header to bumper exhaust systems where purging is difficult.
