I loaned out my squarewave 200 to a friend who does metal sculpture and ornamental sheet metal work, he wants to learn to tig weld. while I have other welders I don't have another tig machine so today I ordered a bridge rectifier and a 17fv torch and a stubby lens kit because I am missing it more than I imagined but I want my friend to use it as long as it takes for him to decide if it is a process he wants to invest in or not because he has been really good to me for the last 35 years.

so here's the question(s) part, what is the advantage of adding the capacitor I see some folks use and what kind of tweaks would be economical?
I don't want to get crazy with it money wise or I could just buy an arc pig or another machine for that matter as cheap as they are getting.

many thanks
the heck with the duty cycle on the welder, tell me about the duty cycle on that grinder !!
