I'm looking for a source for some 3 1/2% Nickle wire for some work on a gun. Brownells has it, but was thinking there might be a less expensive source. Not sure what the spec for it is, they just call it 3 1/2% Nickle wire.

I live close to Brownells. There stuff is usually unique to the gun trade. Don’t know if I’d risk using unknown sources for critical projects.

It’s a gas welding rod, nothing special really. Why not just TIG weld it?
