I'm looking to outfit a newly purchased CK20 torch and am confused by the various gas lenses, cups, etc. I am interested in setting the torch up to Tig stainless using 3/32" electrodes. I see that the CK gas saver kit comes with a #6 alumina push-on cup. Will the gas saver lenses work with the Furik (large, size 12) cups, or will I need a different lens set up. Just really trying to avoid buying something that I won't be likely to use. I apologize for such an elementary question. Constructive input appreciated. Thanks!

On the Furrick site he shows the gas lens needed for his cups, could be (maybe) that the CK lens would be the same diameter, perhaps a phone call to Furrick would clear this upmmcdiarm wrote:I'm looking to outfit a newly purchased CK20 torch and am confused by the various gas lenses, cups, etc. I am interested in setting the torch up to Tig stainless using 3/32" electrodes. Go to jody's store the #12 Furik Cup will work on the 20 torch without the kit. See link: https://weldmongerstore.com/collections ... 20-torches

The ceramic cups in #12 thread on, the Pyrex cups in 5, 8 and 12 push on and use O-rings to seal them. He (Furick) sells specially built Miller lenses for 3/32 only that have a special grove for the O-ring for his Pyrex cups. You can use other brands of lenses, but if you intend to use the Pyrex cups, the Miller lenses he sells are actually better and easier.
The biggest difference in the torch styles is the insulators used between the cups and the torch. Of course the lenses are different diameters and lengths too.
